The Mother as a Landscape
96cm × 113cm
Tufted tapestry mounted on MDF board.
The Mother as a Landscape is the second world encountered within the Hyperworlds collection. It represents a woman’s fertility and transforms the maternal body into an imagined world overflowing with life. The scene is set during the height of summer as shown by a blazing sun and rich foliage. A bursting pomegranate splashes into a pool of milk — symbolic items associated with nourishment and the generative power of the feminine body.
An amphora is silhouetted against the sun - a reference to womanhood that echoes ancient vessels associated with containment and fertility. Two oversized orchids emerge from the landscape as emblems of fertility and desire.
Each Hyperworlds sequence is designed as a complete three-part set. Collectors who acquire both large works (landscape and map) will receive the smaller piece (relic) as part of the complete collection.

The Mother’s Relic
56cm × 76cm
Tufted tapestry mounted on MDF board.
The Mother’s Relic depicts an imagined object from the realm of the Mother within the Hyperworlds collection. A golden chalice — an ancient symbol associated with womanhood, fertility and the body as a sacred vessel capable of carrying and sustaining life.
Suspended above the chalice is an orchid, a flower long associated with beauty and reproductive vitality. Together the chalice and orchid transform the relic into a symbolic artefact of the maternal world.
