Exit Portal

Exit Portal marks the symbolic conclusion of the Hyperworlds journey. Serving as the counterpart to Entry Portal, the work signifies the viewer’s passage out of the four realms and the completion of the cycle through the feminine archetypes of Maiden, Mother, Matriarch and Crone.
Where the Entry Portal used a reflective mirror surface to invite the viewer into the world beyond, the holographic PVC of Exit Portal is opaque — no reflection remains. Cool evening tones signal the movement from day into night, marking the passing of time spent travelling through the imagined landscapes of Hyperworlds.
The tufted design is adapted from the ornamentation of medieval Armenian churches. Positioned as the final threshold, the work closes the journey while suggesting that the cycle itself remains ongoing. The archetypes and symbolism encountered throughout the collection continue beyond the boundaries of the exhibition space.
The Entry and Exit Portals of Hyperworlds are designed as a two-part set. Collectors who acquire Exit Portal will receive the Entry Portal at a reduced price.
